Rocky, at approximately 14 months old, is a 40 lb bundle of energy. He is a mix with apparent pit bull or bulldog origins. He also has webbed feet so there is a bit of water dog in his lineage as well. He loves people and wiggles for attention. He's been around women, men, and children and been great with everyone. He might be too energetic for a household with very small children as he thinks he can fly. Rocky has also been around other dogs and did very well, deciding a couple of German Shepherd female pups were his friends and letting them climb on him. While Rocky has seen cats and been in their presence, he has not interacted directly, but he showed nothing more than a passing interest in them. Rocky is smart and catches onto training quite quickly. He is crate trained with NO indoor potty accidents and learned to go into his crate for meals within two days in foster care. He sits for treats with a proud and erect stance. He has learned "down", to sit at doorways and gates, walks well on a slip lead and responds quickly to light correction, and catches tossed treats in the air. Rocky would make a great jogging partner as he is very attentive and responsive to his handler. Rocky does not respond well to anger, rough handling, or punishment and will not be adopted into a home who uses any of these tactics for training. He is curious and funloving, will play fetch and drops the toy nicely at your feet. He is very agile and would make a great agility or flyball dog. Rocky takes treats nicely and will work for food. He has a short coat that will be easy maintenance and adorable flopping, expressive ears. With a constantly wagging tail, Rocky is always happy to see you. He wants to be someone's new, very best friend. Rocky is completely vetted with all shots, neutered, on heartworm prevention and flea prevention. He is ready to find his forever home.
